Full Homomorphic Encryption (FHE)
Enables encrypted data to be computed without decryption a breakthrough for privacy and security.
Full Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) is a groundbreaking cryptographic technology integrated into Akashic Chain, enabling direct computation on encrypted data without needing to decrypt it first. This innovation allows Akashic to support privacy-preserving computation across decentralized services, AI agents, and multi-chain environments all without compromising data confidentiality.
As the first public blockchain to natively support FHE, Akashic sets a new standard for privacy, particularly in areas such as finance, healthcare, AI inference, and personal data-sensitive dApps.
How It Works
Unlike traditional encryption where data must be decrypted before computation FHE allows data to remain encrypted throughout the entire processing lifecycle. The result of any computation is also encrypted and can only be decrypted by the rightful data owner.
In Akashic, FHE is embedded into the UTN (Ubiquitous Trust Network) service layer, meaning encrypted smart contract logic and agent requests can be executed without exposing raw input data, even to validators or oracles.
Technical Advantages
End-to-End Privacy Sensitive data (e.g. medical records, financial metrics, user preferences) can be processed securely across distributed systems.
Zero-Exposure AI Inference AI agents can perform data matching, personalization, or prediction tasks without ever accessing the underlying user data.
Compliance-Friendly Infrastructure Meets regulatory standards for privacy and data sovereignty, supporting enterprise and institutional adoption.
Decentralized Computation Layer FHE ensures that even in fully decentralized execution models, no node or validator gains access to unencrypted data.
Composable with UTN, DDVS, and CMQ FHE-secured data flows can be transmitted across chains, verified through DDVS, and routed via intelligent UTN services all without breaking privacy.
